Proposal and Funding

ICDP - the full ADD-ON proposal was submitted for review to ICDP in mid-January 2025. On 22nd June 2026 the proposal was fully approved by the ICDP. Therefore, the ICDP funding of US$ 1,986,917 will be secured for the ADD-ON project for a period of up to three years and will be available once further co-funding is secured from project partners and/or interested parties.

The continuous core, and downhole sampling and geophysical data is will address our science aims, but is also relevant to exploration for critical raw materials, geothermal reservoirs, and water resources. We welcome industry partners to contribute to the design and implementation of ADD-ON drilling activities.

Workshop - The ADD-ON workshop in August 2023 was primarily funded by the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP).
